Elkford Adopts Bylaw to Regulate Use of Off-Highway Recreational Vehicles

The District of Elkford has adopted a bylaw to regulate the use of off-highway recreational vehicles within the town boundaries.

The bylaw authorizes off-highway recreational vehicles to use the approved recreational vehicle trail system within the municipal boundaries to access the out of town trails.

The operator must register and licence their vehicle with the District, maintain third party liability insurance of at least $1 million, and hold a valid driver's licence or a certified training course if between the ages of 13 and 17.
